Being that NYC is an hour away from moving into the month of October I think it’s officially time to start getting excited about the next 31 days of fear and fun. Our evenings are now in darkness, drinks are used to keep warm and the excitement of All Hallow’s Eve has arrived. Check out this skeleton design, although its not for Halloween.
Boneshaker is a 2009 limited production zinfandel named for the velocipedes of the Belle Epoque. Apparently in the Golden Age of Cycling, the velocipede was made entirely out of wood and rattled riders to the bone which is why it was known as the Boneshaker. CF Napa Brand Design branded this bottle with elaborated filigree, embossing and glow-in-the-dark ink, which makes the Boneshaker a big, knockout wine!
I read it’s bold and intense with concentrated sweet berry aromas that lead to layered dark plum and black cherry flavors. Rich, full mouthfeel, all balanced with nice acidity and well-structured tannins. Subtle hints of spice and pepper grace the long, smooth and silky finish. With that said, what’s stopping you?
